Marco was an absolute pleasure to work with when we sold our South Kona home. He told us exactly what to do to make our house and property shine and hired the best photographer on the island for our listing photos. The results speak for themselves. We had a full priced offer within 24 hours on the market and a full priced back up offer a week later. The negotiation and closing process went extremely smoothly, with Marco handling all the communication with the buyers and making everything extremely easy for us to understand. As a bonus, Marco is a Kona native so he's extremely connected with the community and can expertly explain the nuances of the market in different neighborhoods. It can be hard to find a good realtor but Marco stands out. Marco rearranged his Saturday to accommodate our quick turn interisland trip for property viewings and patiently worked with us to cancel one purchase and execute the final purchase. He coordinated with inspectors and even brought some packages into the home for us after we closed, but before we moved. Marco has patience and showed us all of the homes we wanted to look at. I have purchased and sold many houses in my lifetime, but this was the first time I ever considered purchasing a property without seeing it in person. Marco was our eyes and ears and on a Sunday morning he drove to the property to video it so we could get a idea of what we were interested in buying. He was with us every step of the process. Marco Silva exceeded expectations as our realtor. We were living on the mainland when he was helping us buy a home on the Big Island Hawaii. My husband came out a couple times to look at houses. Marco blocked out days of his time to show my husband the houses. He also showed him the areas we were interested in. He would go out of his way to show us where the schools, churches and famous sites were on the Island. When we were not here to look at houses he would go to the homes and take great video footage of the house and property. He was always there to help us when we had questions and would find out if he didn't know something. He was always kind and professional. He found us a great home! We came to our home during the corvid-19 Pandemic late at night. He was so thoughtful and generous and packed our refrigerator and tables full of food. It was an amazing site. Not only is Marco one of the best realtors I have come to know, he is a wonderful person as well. He was immediate in keeping me informed and replying to phone calls and messages despite a 4 hour time difference. We had been trying to sell our beautiful home in Kona for over one and a half years without success, going through two realtors. We picked Marco because of the high reviews on this site. We could not have made a better choice for a realtor. He walked us through the sales process step by step always keeping us informed . His friendly demeanor and professionalism were top notch. We were in Kailua Kona and we went through the preliminary steps for the sale but the main sales preparations were done after we returned to the mainland. He took care of everything. Marco was very friendly and professional. On our first visit he discussed with us our desire to sell, had we considered renting, and other options giving us the opportunity to think things through for ourselves before committing to sell, even suggesting we just live there and wait to list until we were ready to leave for the mainland. He was very helpful providing a stager at his cost, and getting a house cleaner, carpet cleaner, and a minor door repair taken care of so we didn't have to worry about it. Even allowed us leave items we were not taking with us, and disposed of the ones that they couldn't use for staging, or the next owner might not want making the whole process very easy for us.

We can’t say enough good things about Marco! We were initially interested in Marco because he has been named as a top-producer multiple times, but we soon discovered his many other qualities. He has a friendly, professionalism that is rare to find. He had an exact plan to attract a buyer for our home in a short period of time! Since we do not live on the island, Marco’s assistance was invaluable in helping us prepare our home to be sold. We found Marco to be very friendly and comfortable to deal with. He was very knowledgeable of the market and areas we were interested in and showed us many homes. We met Marco by contacting him to view a home he had listed. After meeting several real estate agents we knew Marco was the right agent for us. He listened to our needs and each property he showed us was right in line with what we were looking for. The home we purchased was one Marco found that wasn’t on our radar. Since we were on the mainland for the closing he secured inspections, cleaners, and yard maintenance. He also provided a facetime video tour of the final walk through. My husband and I lived in California when we contacted Marco to schedule a property showing. We immediately connected and started chatting about what my husband and myself wanted in a home.
Once we arrived in Hawaii, Marco was at our disposal. He drove us to multiple properties, explaining neighborhoods and clueing us in to the ins and outs of Kona. He made us feel like we were his only clients and we were never a bother to him.
We made an offer on a property and flew back to California.
Well Marco didn't stop there, he called or texted almost daily. Kept us updated on everything. He would contact the mortgage company, arranged for ALL the inspections, made sure the gardner was still up keeping the property. This is an amazing man! I had never felt like I wasn't being taken care of and as much as I hate to say it, he held my hand throughout the whole process of buying in Hawaii.
After the home closed, my mother n law flew out with me to help with unpacking and getting the house in order. I had sent out a box ahead of time so we would have at least air mattresses to sleep on until our furniture arrived. Well, the box didn't make it! Marco went to HIS home and brought us air mattresses , blankets, camping chairs for us to use until our things arrived.
He is one of the nicest, sincere and caring person we have ever met. He's professional with a huge heart.
